Is this the End? No! The Hand!

So it's been official for two weeks, now, Ed Brubaker will leave Daredevil at the end of the current arc. A story about DD, the Kingpin, Lady Bullseye and the Hand (a clan of deadly ninjas)! So it shouldn't be too bad (I have a weak spot for ninjas).
C'est officiel depuis quelques temps, Brubaker quittera la série Daredevil à la fin de l'histoire en cours : "Return of the King". Un récit avec DD, le Caïd, Lady Bullseye et la Main (terrible clan Ninja) ! Ca devrait pas être trop mal (pour moi, les Ninjas dans les comics, c'est comme les oignons dans la cuisine, ça accompagne bien et ça permet de mieux faire passer certains trucs...)

The other week end, I had an overdose of noir images after downloading from this forum.
L'autre jour, j'ai fait du téléchargement massif d'images de style "noir" sur ce site.

So, being a mixologist, I had to put DD and the Hand in my red shaker, have a long hard shake and strain it all on paper.
Et fatalement, ayant tendance à mélanger les chose, j'ai pondu ce dessin :

Oui, il faut imaginer les ninjas tenant les sabres (je peux pas tout faire pour vous, non plus!).

Comixology R&D : the Black Widow's kiss

This blog's been missing cocktail-related posts, lately. So, let's do some comixology R&D... After, the Hell's Kitchen, the Elektra, the Old Hornhead and the Dakota North, I've been experimenting with the Black Widow.
Il y a eu peu d'entrées sur les cocktails dans ce blog, dernièrement... Alors pour poursuivre la recherche comixologique sur l'univers de Daredevil, je m'y suis recollé avec la Veuve Noire.

She's my favorite DD love-interest. Too bad she's dating Winter Soldier-Cap these days... Hey Bru, can't you fix that ?
C'est ma copine de DD préférée. Mais elle est branchée avec le nouveau Captain America... Ed Brubaker la ramènera-t-elle un jour dans la vie de Matt ?

So Natasha Romanov is a redhead woman, russian super-spy with an arachnean name ? Where should we go from there ? There's a known cocktail called Black Widow (based on sambucca, vodka and other stuff). I don't have Sambucca in my bar and never tasted it. And at 70+ bottles, I'm trying to limit my purchases for "sure things". I don't want to track down and buy a bottle that will collect dust. There's also the "Widow's Kiss" (apple brandy, yellow Chartreuse, Benedictine and angostura).

Un cocktail Black Widow est assez connu, composé, entre autres, de vodka et de sambucca. Mais ce dernier manque à mon bar et ne fait pas partie de mes achats planifiés (je ne sais plus où mettre toutes les bouteilles).
J'ai aussi trouvé le "Widow's Kiss" (calvados, chartreuse jaune, bénédictine et angostura).
"A partir de là", je suis allé vers... le Black Widow's Kiss
So... what about the Black Widow's kiss ?
3cl of Blackberry Brandy (Crème de mûres)
1,5 cl of Green Chartreuse
1,5 cl of Benedictine
Angostura Bitters
Shake - Cocktail Glass - Suggested garnish : Blackberry (had none, out of season).
Pas de déco, je pensais à des mûres mais j'en avais plus (c'est au pied du mur que...)

This drink turned out a tad too sweet but not too bad.
Un peu trop sucré mais pas si mal.

As a contingency plan, Science of Drink gave me the Natasha :
En plan B, le blog Science of Drink m'a fait découvrir le Natasha :
3 cll vodka
1,5 cl Cointreau
1,5 cl creme de banane
1,5 cl strawberry liqueur
Shake. Cocktail glass.
Superb red/orange color(go look the original post) reminding BW's hair.
Un rouge orangé magnifique rappelant la chevelure de notre héroïne (à voir sur le blog d'origine).
